It's very early on with my purchase,it is functioning good and maintaining a good humidity level for me in my 650 sq foot room.I do wish the water holding tanks were made of a stronger or thicker pastic as so I would feel better about the units longevity.

this is a great design. It has improved humidity significantly upstairs. We put it in the middle of the upstairs so all rooms can benefit. Our living room. Went from 28% humidity to 40% in a week. I plan to purchase another one for downstairs. It's a bit loud like a fan but as long as it's not next to the TV it's fine

Great Humidifier

It's tough to find a good humidifier. This one is a little more expensive than your single room humidifier but well worth it. We are using this to keep the air moist on the entire upper floor of our house. It holds 9ish gallons of water and before 24 hours is up it's all gone. So it really puts a lot of water vapor into the air. It also makes the entire floor cooler, it was getting so cold upstairs that we had to put the humidifier on low. Some reviews say that this machine is really loud on high. That sorta scared me a little before I bought it. While it doesn't run silently, I think it's quieter than a box fan. Also there is no need to run it on high after the air gets moist. The dual tanks are easy to refill in the tub and you can keep the machine running and fill one tank at a time. The machine is fairly lightweight and easy to move around but make sure you empty the water first to avoid spills. If I have 1 complaint, it's not aesthetically pleasing. In other words it's ugly. There are other machines that look like works of art or furniture but that wouldn't stop me from purchasing this again.

Does an excellent job, really works well and the water reservoirs are easy to fill and clean. Not quite as quiet as I expected but overall very happy with the unit.

The Best

I had an earlier model from Honeywell that lasted for 10 years and never had a problem. So I decided to look at their site and lo and behold they offered better pricing than the big box stores, etc. So I decided to purchase a slightly larger unit to moisten my entire condo which is does effortlessly. It arrived as stated, in perfect condition and it is wonderful. I am living in a very dry state especially in the winter and the unit performs like a champ. The dual water containers are easy to fill more so than my older unit -- nice design improvement and its output is robust even on the lower settings. Thank you, Honeywell! A great American company.

The HCM-6009 runs quietly & on targeted humidity. It does take a little time to clean every other day.

Love this humidifier, works great in a very dry climate. Family members, including dog, have allergy issues and this makes a world of difference. The only issue we have is finding the genuine replacement filter with the blue wrap. All the filters we have found are plain white, no blue wrap around the outside. We have been unable to find it anywhere, including the Honeywell site.

perfect purchase

Needed a humidifier for the dry Colorado winters. Our house has vaulted ceilings so I was skeptical as to how this unit would perform. It's been 2 weeks now and the unit has performed perfectly. Just keep the water tanks filled, set the humidity switch and let it do its thing. Our house feels great!

I tried various types of humidifiers attached to my gas furnace in the basement over the years. I finally bought this one three or four years ago as a backup in our bedroom. Since then it has been working extremely well, when we need it November through April, we don't use the furnace humidifier any more. Also, the dust and other stuff gets caught in the filter, so the air is a lot cleaner. As part of my evening exercise, I fill up its tanks every night. I sometimes add one drop of oil of oregano or oil of mint, it makes the home smell nicer. I replace the filter or the wick 3 times a winter about $20 each, the wick gathers all the junk and calcium built up, everything else remains sparkling clean. I tried to use the drinking water from our RO system. That way, I was able to get away with only one wick for the season, but it takes a long time to fill it, so I don't bother with that any more. Great product. My hat off to fellow engineers who designed it.

I have to say I am impressed with this humidifier. It is simplistic but very efficient. Very pleased with the volume of moisture it puts into the house. Highly recommend.
