I recently bought my air purifier which seemed brand new. Prior owners apparenly never cleaned it in a long time, probably since they bought it, or it was in a heavy dirty area. The washable filter was very, very, very dirty where dirt was coming out from the grill area. I shook filter outside first, then washed it, vacuumed the permanent filters. The next day, I replaced filters, and it works perfect. There's a red LED light which indicates when filters need changing as I didn't know because a manual didn't come with it. It works great, and can tell the difference.

I've owned many good air purifiers over the years since I nave asthma and my rooms air needs to be in super clean. This Honeywell hht-080 purifier is so powerful in cleaning the bad air in my large room and it is so quiet in the low setting with a very comfortable low white noise. It's quite loud on the hi setting which I only use for 30 minutes when I sweep my tile floor for effectively eliminate all the fine dust on the air. This Honeywell model is discontinued while I write the review but you may find it when you google the model online. Besides this one I also have the therapure towel air purifier turns on 24/7 at low setting in my master room and theyre both super quiet + effective on operations to keep the air in my room cleaned.

There are several things about the machine that I like: it is lightweight but durable the ease of changing the filter. After about 20 minutes, I could feel the air was much lighter of the large amounts of dust that comes through our office

Got this for my sons bedroom and it is so quiet I had to check to see if it was actually on. I love the small footprint too, works great in a room full of legos and dirty socks. I cant even smell the dirty socks anymore!!!
