Yes, this product uses a HEPA Filter to efficiently eliminate bacteria, contaminants, asbestos and various other allergens and pollutants.
The Honeywell Germ Fighting Air Purifier implements a True HEPA filter that captures up to 99.97% of particles as small as 0.3 microns from the air that passes through the filter. This allows the allergen reducer to capture particles such as dust, tobacco smoke, pet dander and pollen from the air that passes through the filter. A carbon pre-filter that prolongs filter life by removing large particles before they can enter the HEPA filter has been included. The 50255B can also capture certain airborne germs such as bacteria and virus. SurroundSeal Technology has been added. This will minimize air leaks and ensure efficient air passage through the filter. An Intelli-Check electronic filter indicator will remind owners when it's time to clean their HEPA filter and when it's time to change the pre-filter. Three powerful cleaning levels and a 360° air intake make this air purifier an excellent addition for large to extra-large rooms.
