The timer was very easy to install and not very difficult to program at all. It has been working flawlessly since it was installed and has lived up to expectations. I like the fact it has a backlit display. The test will be to how long it lasts!

March 18, 2015Just what I was looking for
I purchased two of these. One is programmed to turn our outside driveway lights on at sunset and off at sunrise. The other turns the front porch light on at sunset and then off at a different time in the late evening each night of the week. Programming is extremely versatile and not difficult. I have some handyman skills and the installation was also not difficult. Good instructions. An electrician could do it in no time at all if you don't have the knowledge to do it yourself.

This little device has solved all of my outside lighting issues.When I built this new house, I told my contractor to install an outside timer for the exterior lighting. After moving in, by the time Daylight Savings Time came about, I had to fiddle with a screen only a mouse could read. Reprogramming the switch twice a year did it for me. A NEW electrician introduced me to the HONEYWELL ECONO-SWITCH #PLS750C1000. He programed it and now...I can forget it! Three cheers for HONEYWELL!

April 27, 2014Home security is very important to my family and myself. One of the best things for security is to leave outside lights on dusk to dawn. One of the worst is to forget to turn them off in the morning, and leave them on all day. This not only increases your electricity bill but it also lets everyone know that someone might not be home. Also, regular timers require a constant resetting for dusk, dawn and Daylight Savings times. This switch Honeywells RPLS540A1002/U eliminates all these problems. Once set it recognizes the changing dusk times, dawn times and Daylight Savings. That is it. You ONLY set it once, unless you are old school or need to set it for specific times. But it does that too……. I would definitely recommend this switch and am planning to use several more in my home. -Jim M.

I havent programmed it yet. I purchased this one for my neighbor. I already have one on both front door and back door porch lights. They are both undercover, and I cannot rely on a light sensitive switch.

This is by far the best home light timer I have owned. Plan to get 2 more for other lights in the house. Large display, easy to program and adjusts for sunrise sunset. Stay away from timers manufactured by GE - have gone through 2 of them they usually burn out after 1 year.
