I've been using one of these in my Honeywell humidifier for a couple weeks now, and the filter has remained noticeably cleaner than before. I use tap water in my humidifier, and usually the filter starts to brown at the ends after a few weeks, but so far I don't actually notice it browning much at all. I used to clean the tray every day when I'd refill the tank, but I don't feel that I need to do that so often anymore. Win!

After researching how to clean my humidifier I also learned about Protec. I read the reviews and they were positive about Protecs ability to keep the Humidifier fresh between cleanings. I have had them for a few weeks and am happy about them. I bought 2 packs to be sure I had enough for this season and the beginning of next.

These make upkeep so easy. My humidifier stays nice and clean. You can even get the little fish style to make your humidifier look like a fish aquarium. I would recommend this product.
