Its' just a demineralizer that cleans the water from the tap or distilled water. It's about not worth the price you pay. It only last a couple weeks at best then you have to buy another one.

These are identical replacements for the HUL570, so they worked perfectly for me. It seems that they actually come in a three pack, since I ordered 2 and received a 3-pack with one removed. So I would recommend ordering 3 at a time so they can just send you the whole box.

I like my Honeywell humidifier but disappointed about the white dust from my hard water. The filter does help with the WD but doesn't help with the calcium buildup in the machine.

Have very hard water which is hard on humidifiers. Filter has helped a lot. Cleaning is much easier. Not near as much calcium deposits as without the filter. Just replaced one and will keep using them.

Have hard water and it's so hard on pipes, wash machines and especially humidifiers. Working the 3rd one since late Oct. Filter works well. Less cleaning of the machine.
